Top 10 Sleep products for your baby to have successful sleep!
When bringing home your little one, having a safe spot to put them is going to be important. Many things surrounding sleep can be confusing and unsure of what you might actually use! What I found to work helped my baby sleep better as she grew!
Another human’s sleep is about to take over your world. I was a little shocked at how much it actually controlled my thoughts. But that is normal and ok! Being prepared is the best thing you can do.
Now some of the things I recommend might not match with your baby’s sleep needs or sleep style. I followed more of an independent sleep style (my husband and I are huge movers in our sleep)
but whatever you choose is going to be perfect for your family. Remember mom your intuition is usually correct so always follow it! Now let’s get into it!

1. Bassinet
If you had a hospital birth, then you know the bassinet that they help put your little one in. I loved having it at the hospital so when bringing home my little one, the bassinet was the one familiar thing I had going for myself! I know it’s controversial and people say they don’t use them, but I used the heck out of mine! I recommend one with wheels so you can bring it around with you especially in those early days!

2.Baby sleep monitor
The day in age that we live in is amazing! A camera sleep monitor is a must have! You will be like every other mom (or dad) and always wonder if your baby is breathing or make sure they aren’t rolling anywhere they aren’t supposed to. This is a 10/10 product, so I definitely recommend it for your sanity!

3. Baby swaddle/ blankets/ sheets
A good swaddle blankets that zips from the bottom will be a life saver for you! I started with elastic blankets which worked amazing for the first month or so, but once we got into winter getting a fleece zip blanket that was still able to swaddle was nice. Finding the easiest options are going to save you at night when you are trying to get the feed and change done without disturbing the baby too much.
You can click here for the swaddle blankets. Or here for the zip up blanket.
4. Pack-in-play
After my baby outgrew our bassinet I moved her into the pack-in-play. I don’t have a huge house so putting a crib in our room was not an option. This one had an attachment to lift the baby higher up in the pack-in-play, which was nice, so I didn’t break my back every night!
It’s a nice option to have but as soon as my baby started moving more and rolling it was time to move up to the crib for safety reasons!
I would also like to add that the one I got had a changing station and small bassinet so if you wanted a 3 in one choice to skip the bassinet all together this is a great option!
This is the one I got here!

5. Crib
After finally moving out little one to her room my favorite part was the crib! My little one loves to roll around and change positions. Having all that space was amazing for her and gave me more peace of mind as well. Also, it is the cutest part of the nursery in my opinion!
This is the Delta crib I have which has been amazing!

6. Binkys
I know this may be odd to add on a sleep product list but having this mam pacifier at night helps a lot. In the beginning I had such huge mom guilt over this for no reason. My baby loved to be attached to my boob (though there is nothing wrong with this) it was not good for my mental health, so adding a pacifier to help soothe was a game changer! And around 7 months she weaned herself off them!
7. Sound machine/ night light
Being in the womb causes a lot of noise, so having a sound machine helps make your little one comfortable. I used this air purifier; it had a nice hum but wasn’t overloud. A fan also worked but made the room a little cold at night.
A night light that is dim is also nice just so you aren’t blind at night!

8. Bedtime book
If you have a nighttime book in your routine or are thinking about it, do it! I found reading a book before bed helped wind down and also gave some nice bonding time. I loved Goodnight moon, or I love you forever (classics I might say).
9. Diaper Caddy
A diaper caddy will come in handy at night, especially when you are room sharing in the first few months. I was lazy (as many are at night) and wouldn’t leave my bed when feeding or changing my little one at night, so this diaper caddy was nice to leave at the end of the bed or nightstand.

10. Bathtime/ Lavender lotion
Bathtime is one of the nightly routines you will end up falling into, so having a good bathtub and lavender lotion to add to your night routine will be a game changer. Who doesn’t love a nice warm bath and some lavender lotion before bed!
11. Baby sleep training course
Everyone is different when it comes to getting your little one to sleep. But something that is great to have on hand is a good sleep training course to be prepared if your little one doesn’t sleep well (mine didn’t sleep through the night until about 6 months!) I wish I was more prepared for what sleep training was.
This is a great sleep training course if you want to check it out click here!
I hope these were helpful in guiding you into what you actually need at nighttime for your little one. All of these products I use every night without a doubt. You’ll find what works for you and your little one and love the journey! Nights at first feel so long but time does go by fast! You got this momma!
