After finding out your pregnancy I’m sure there are a million things going on through your mind. What should I do? Who do I call? What do I need? Etc. At least I know I was. So first take a deep breath. You are entering the exciting world of motherhood!
Congratulations you beautiful Women! Now I hope to help you with one of your questions on this post, what do you need during pregnancy? I promise it’s not a lot! So here are a few things I know I couldn’t live without during my Pregnancy.
Ok, I’m starting out simple. But you are about to start drinking a whole bunch of water, if you aren’t already. I recommend something with a straw, it makes it easier to drink a lot of water. Also, the bigger the better! Nobody likes filling up a water bottle 10 times a day.
I constantly needed the reminder to drink water, and having a water bottle that was easy to drink from was a life saver! Especially when you are a coffee drinker like me, I’d rather have a nice, iced coffee than drink water.

Leggings (Size Up)
You are going to need nice stretchy leggings! While Pregnant anything and everything you wear is uncomfortable after about 20 weeks or sooner! I made the mistake of getting maternity pants and leggings, and boy were they uncomfortable. I hated anything on my stomach that squeezed when I sat, which was any pair of pants.
And maternity leggings go up so high! Just get yourself a pair of leggings sized up about two sizes.
I loved these since they were so soft and stretchy, I couldn’t even feel them on my stomach! Comfort is everything when you are growing a baby.
While on the topic of clothing, getting some cute dresses that show off your cute bump is a must! It’s also nice that it is also comfortable to wear. If you are a tom girl like me and can’t stand the thought of wearing a dress without shorts underneath, definitely get some maternity shorts.
Honestly you might just wear maternity shorts and a bra at home! But unfortunately, real clothes are needed in public, and dresses are such a cute option. I wore this dress the most, super comfortable and it has pockets!

Vitamins
Now this is an important item. You want to make sure you are getting as much nutrition as possible while pregnant. Especially if you are having morning sickness and can’t keep anything down. You can check out my other blog here on how to combat morning sickness.
It is important to find a prenatal vitamin with folic acid since that is an important need in those beginning months for the development of the baby. I would also recommend one that has vitamin D and a good amount of fruit and vegetable concentrate just so you are getting as much nutrition as possible.
And on the topic of supplements, you will probably get either reflux or heartburn at some point so having those antacids or just a good ol gallon of milk!
I know some say you don’t need this and to use a regular pillow, but in those last few months of Pregnancy it’s the only way you will get some sleep!
I am a snuggler though, so I only got the one-sided pillow since I wanted my husband to still snuggle me to sleep, but if you toss and turn in your sleep definitely get the two sider one! Nothing is worse than lugging that pillow back and forth along with your massive belly!
If I could go back, I would definitely get one with the wedges just because as you do get bigger that belly is going to get heavy and could start hurting your back or belly from the weight. I would use a blanket or small pillow, but a wedge would have been amazing!
Like I said before, comfort is key when you are growing a baby! Make sure you are treating yourself with something that can give you some relief when sleeping.

This one is sort of a hit or miss. An exercise ball can come in handy especially with the Braxton hicks that come on spontaneously. It also comes in handy if you want to do the hip rolls or any small exercises during your pregnancy. I mostly used it towards the end of pregnancy when the couch was uncomfortable to sit on and also to see if it would induce my labor! (It didn’t work for me, but it does work for some women).
Some women also use it to help soothe their newborn baby, so it does have the potential to be used after pregnancy as well!

At the end of the day you will find what works best for you! Pregnancy is such a beautiful journey and being prepared and comfortable are the top things at the end of the day. I want you to remember that you are amazing and can get through anything that comes your way! I hope these products help get you through these months until baby arrives. I know they were life savers for me.
